Password Protected?
WIOD is reporting today that 8 digit passwords are no longer the key to safety when it comes to your computer. Apparently computers have become so fast that an 8 digit password is easier to figure out. What is the “suggested” password size? 12 digits, 1Mississippi would be 12 digits if you are wondering.
According to a report on CNN using a 12 character password with a mix of letters and numbers would take over 17,000 hours to break; an 8 character password in just 2 hours.
